Resilient Entanglement’s Founder and CEO, Dr. Rozhin Eskandarpour, recently visited the Republic of Finland as part of the State of Colorado’s Quantum Delegation.
This event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Business Finland, and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT). Leading quantum experts in Colorado, including Dr. Eskandarpour, were invited to present their work on quantum computing to fellow researchers and government regulators.
Participants visited the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland to observe the facility’s quantum computer in action and met with numerous prominent members of the Finnish quantum community, including InstituteQ and BusinessQ. They also attended the Business Finland Quantum Campaign and New Space and Cybersecurity events.
Ultimately, this visit resulted in a partnership to advance scientific research, technology, and business in multiple areas, including quantum technology. Colorado Governor Jared Polis signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Finland to pursue developments in the quantum field, including foreign direct investment, research and development, and company exchanges.
Finland’s Ambassador to the US, Mikko Hautala, said:
“I don’t think there are many places on Earth where just five million people have so much going on with the aerospace industry, high-performance computing, and green solutions. Add to that our common challenges of building resilient communities, tackling climate change, and generating green jobs, I think it is long overdue Colorado and Finland bring their partnership to the next level.”
